Gerard Barry

In the early 1980's, Gerard Barry established the Fintrax Group in Ireland. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physics and he has held various top management positions with UK and US multinationals. In 1984, Gerard pioneered the Cashback tourist tax refund concept, and the service was launched in Ireland in 1985. From 1990, with approval of governments in each jurisdiction, Gerard expanded the business throughout Europe. In 2000, Gerard founded the new Group Headquarters in Galway, Ireland, where he oversaw the re-branding of the company to Fintrax Group Holdings Ltd. Gerard's entrepreneurialism saw him become a finalist in the category of International Entrepreneurship for Awards in Ireland, and he has led the Fintrax Group to become one of the world's leading international financial services companies. Gerry is the inventor of a unique portfolio of patented solutions for electronic tax refunding and automated card payment processing. He is the managing partner of the Barry Family Partnership, the majority shareholder of Fintrax Group Holdings and ¥€$®.

Declan Barry - Deputy Partner

Declan fondly recalls his part time role in servicing tourists and retail merchants in Ireland from Mid 1980’s and Europe from Early 1990’s. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Science and Modern Language (Honours), a Bachelor of Law (Honours) and Graduate Diploma of Business in Accounting and Taxation (Honours). He became an executive director of the Group from 1995. He set up tax refund and card payment schemes in Europe and Canada as the managing director for group trading and operating companies between 1995 and 2000. He pioneered the tax refund and card payment schemes of the group throughout New Zealand, Australia, and Singapore as the group regional executive director for market research and business development in the Asia Pacific Region between 2000 and 2010. He resides permanently in Singapore, having been domiciled previously in capitals throughout Europe and Canada before Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Auckland, and Wellington. He is now presently the executive director for licensing the group intellectual property portfolio and directing the group payment alliance programs since 2011. Declan is the deputy partner and principal proprietor of the Barry Family Partnership, the majority shareholder of Fintrax Group Holdings and ¥€$®
