Chief Executive Officer - Patrick Waldron is the Chief Executive Officer of the Fintrax Group, a position to which he was named in November 2012. Patrick was previously the Chief Executive of Post Office Financial and Travel Services, two joint venture businesses between Bank of Ireland and the UK Post Office, generating over £100m in profits annually. Prior to this role he was the Chief Operating Officer for the Bank’s Retail business in Ireland. He has over 25 years experience in a wide range of management roles.
Patrick oversees annual revenues of over €100m, a staff of 440 and offices spanning the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe. Patrick holds an honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the National University of Ireland, is a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers in Ireland and was one of 8 international bankers recently awarded the title of Certified International Retail Banker (CIRB) by the International Academy of Retail Bankers in Rome.
Chief Operating Officer - Catriona O'Farrell is chief operating officer of the Fintrax Group, a position to which she was named in 2012. Catriona was the first employee of the 1985 start-up company CashBack ltd, with responsibility for the development of the original tax-refund company of the Group. Since then, she has spent over twenty years in senior management roles in the I.T. and publishing industries, as well as teaching within the educational sector. Catriona holds an honours M.B.A. Degree and an honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the National University of Ireland.
Director - Third Party Processing - Conor holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Diploma in Business Studies from The National University of Ireland in Galway. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. He holds an honours law degree from The National University of Ireland. In Galway Conor is responsible for the Group's Irish workforce of more than sixty employees working across various business units. He has fifteen years of experience in Accountancy and Finance. His experience includes eight years in accountancy practices and seven years as a Finance Director.
Group Operations Director - Chris holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Business Administration and Accountancy. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Chris worked for Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC) and a leading cheque guarantee firm before joining the Fintrax Group in 1994. He founded and manages the UK subsidiary and has a wealth of experience in providing financial services to the retail industry. Chris is based in London and is responsible for a number of the group's subsidiaries in Europe as well as the development and deployment of efficient systems within the group.
Group Marketing Director & CEMEA Regional Manager - Patrick holds a MBA degree in Business Administration and Marketing. He has been a forerunner in the development of the Fintrax Group since 1986 when he was a sales manager for Ireland. After completing market research in several European countries he became Marketing Manager for Premier Tax Free (France) in 1990, and he was promoted to General Manager in 1991. Patrick is responsible for the growth of Fintrax Group in Europe; with special regard to Switzerland, Italy, Austria and the Benelux countries. Patrick is also responsible for the Franchisee Agreements and partnerships in Central Europe & Middle East & Africa.
Group Human Resource Director - Maureen has a Diploma in Office Management and a Certificate in Computing/IT. She joined the company in 1990 and has set up the Group's processing operations for France, Italy, Spain and the UK. Maureen has over a decade of experience in data processing and operations and is based in Galway, Ireland. She implements and coordinates the data payment services between centralised operations in Ireland and local operational centres in Europe.
Group Americas Director - Juan holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Masters in International Business Administration (Honours). He joined Fintrax Group in 1997 as Assistant Manager, then became General Manager in 1998. He was responsible for the set-up and development of the company in Spain and Portugal, then became Assistant Manager for international market development in 2000. In 2001 Juan became involved in establishing the company in Toronto, Canada, where he developed and expanded its operations as its General Manager. In 2008 he coordinated the set up and development of the company in Mexico, and in 2009 in Uruguay, by successfully achieving Government concessions via public tender process.
Group Research & Development Director - John has a Bachelor of Commerce, a Diploma in Systems Analysis and 20 years’ experience working in software developments and financial services; including European-wide experience as General Manager of a data processing company. After joining Fintrax, John developed the Fintrax Payment Centre and innovated multi-currency processing. He is the Group Director for the research and development of information technology and has been based in Ireland since 1997.
Group Finance Director - Kerry is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Kerry joins Fintrax from the Gorkana Group where he supported and advised the Executive team through three acquisitions successfully steering the business through integration. Prior to Gorkana Group, Kerry held a number of senior roles with Dell Inc including Finance Director of EMEA Regional Businesses and EMEA Planning Director. Prior to Dell, he had a long career with ICL Ltd, where he was involved in a number of pre and post-acquisition activities in Europe and the USA.
